IPL (Intense Pulse Light) techniques were originally developed for hair removal but been adapted for many more uses than that. IPL can be used to reduce hyperpigmentation, sun spots, age spots, freckles, spider and thread veins and broken capillaries.
The light from the laser is absorbed by these darker patches of skin, and gets broken down. It’s then absorbed by the body, in turn lightening the targeted area whilst leaving other areas of skin unchanged. IPL can also rejuvenate the skin improving fine lines and wrinkles and brightening the overall appearance, the ultimate in anti aging body treatments!
If you have stubborn areas of fat that just won’t shift, there are a number of non-invasive techniques available to you. Hips, thighs, tummies and bottoms can all benefit from techniques such as Hypoxi, coolsculpting and fat cavitation techniques.
Hypoxi sessions combine gentle exercises with vacuuming and compression techniques to target up to three times more fat loss than sweating it out in the gym.
Coolsculpting, also known as cryolipolysis or cryo-lipo, uses precision controlled body cooling to eliminate specific areas of fat. Once the fat cells are frozen they die and your body naturally eliminates them for good.
Fat cavitation uses ultrasound to target fat cells and liquify them, leaving them for the body to process and get rid of naturally as it would with any other toxins.
Laser lipo is another body contouring procedure, that is performed under a local anesthetic in a registered clinic. It uses laser to target and liquify fat, stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin.
Trained therapists will be able to talk you through each of their body sculpting specialities so that you can choose the one best suited to you.
Cellulite is a stubborn beast, but scrubs, wraps, coffee scrubs and wraps, dry brushing and mesotherapy can all help improve the appearance of cellulite.
Mesotherapy involves injecting vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids just below the skin to plump up cellulite and dimples and encourage collagen production.
Stretch marks can be reduced by dermarolling techniques which encourage the skin to self repair and become fuller.
Body art is expressive, individual and shows the creative side of body treatments.
If you’re absolutely certain on your design and placement, go for a permanent tattoo. Tattooing doesn’t have to just involve black ink, it can include different coloured inks and even white along with feathering and shading techniques.
If you decide that your tattoo isn’t quite what you wanted, go for another design to cover it up, or laser tattoo removal. Your therapist will talk you through the options and expected outcomes.
For non-permanent body art, go for a henna tattoo in a beautiful design.
