Get your glow on with one of our spray tan salons in the Mornington Peninsula. It’s summer in a bottle. Don’t you want to look like you’ve been living on a tropical island (without the humidity) all year around? One of our spray tan artists can help you achieve that healthy, beach baby glow. And the best part is, it’s better for your skin then the constant sun exposure.
Before you get your tan on, here are a few things you should remember. Book your appointment two days before a big event. This gives your tan time to develop and allow the color to settle. It will also let you smooth out any issues such as streaks. If you have dark splotches, use a little bit of nail polish remover to even it out. If the streaks are lighter, buff the skin to even it out. To get that silky smooth even tan, exfoliate. This is the cardinal rule of fake tans. It helps to get rid of any dead skin build up, and prime your skin. It will also help to prolong its effects. Wear loose, dark colored clothes to your appointment. You want to wear that colour on your skin, not your clothes.
If you’re unhappy with the results – you look a little bit more month in Maui than weekend in Barbados, exfoliate and soak in a tub. If you’ve ended up looking a bit more Sunkist (orange) than sun-kissed – your skin’s PH balance was too high. Your pH level is also higher than your hands and your feet so it is important to moisturize beforehand. Go for something oil-free. Washing your skin can also raise your pH so do not apply the tan immediately after using soap. If that fails, jump into a swimming pool. Chlorine removes self-tanner.
Now that you’ve got that low down on that golden brown, book well with Bookwell. One of our spray tan artists will help you achieve that bronze goddess status that will have your friends asking; Where have you been? (For a spray tan, obviously.)
